Changelog

Notable changes to the JustSERP API and its documentation, newest first, including the move to one endpoint per engine and the GET-only reference.

2026-10-30: one page per endpoint

The API Reference now shows one GET page per endpoint, with the fields as query parameters, instead of two pages for each. The page for each endpoint is at the same address without the -get ending, and the old -get page addresses redirect to it. Parameters explains how to encode lists, objects and special characters in a query.

2026-10-29: every endpoint documented

The API Reference now covers every endpoint in the public spec (https://api.justserp.com/openapi.yaml): 132, up from 26. Each had a POST page and a GET page (snapshots: GET only).

  • Google: Light, Events and event details, Jobs, News and News Light, Trends Trending Now, Place, Videos, Shorts, Images, Local, Forums, Books, Rank Tracking, Autocomplete, Patents, Finance, Ads Transparency, Shopping and products, Flights, Hotels, Travel Explore, Maps directions and photos, Play and Locations.
  • Other engines: YouTube, Bing (including Copilot), Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Apple Maps and App Store, TikTok, Instagram, GitHub, Walmart, Zillow, Eventbrite, Facebook events and business pages, HiringCafe, Tripadvisor places and any web page (/v1/web/page).
  • Snapshots: GET /v1/snapshots/{snapshot_id}.
  • Every endpoint also takes a GET with the fields as query parameters, and the key can be sent as the apikey query parameter.
  • Gemini is no longer offered.
  • Most endpoints now accept the document-form parameters, and every parsed 200 is the document (search_metadata, search_parameters, the result blocks and pagination) rather than an envelope with the answer in data. On Google Search, api_version is deprecated. Each endpoint's page describes its forms.
  • A request with no answer by about 95 seconds now gets 500 job_timeout. Set your client timeout to about 100 seconds.
  • A 404 (the profile or place does not exist) costs a call. 422 is new, for /v1/web/page redirect loops.
  • The guides (Introduction, Quickstart, Parameters, Authentication, Errors & billing, Rate limits) are updated to match.

2026-10-16: per-engine endpoints

The API moved to one /v1/<engine path> endpoint per engine, with X-API-Key or Authorization: Bearer authentication.

  • Added AI answers: Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT and Gemini.
  • Added review endpoints (with find endpoints where the site allows a search) for Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, BBB, Angi, Yellow Pages, Healthgrades and Tripadvisor, and Yelp search, business pages and reviews as a trial.
  • Added Google place details (/v1/google/maps/place).
  • Added /v1/cancel and the cancel_token request field.
