Google Maps Photos

The photos of one Google Maps place, 20 a page, answered as the document: `search_metadata`, `search_parameters`, `search_information` (`{}`), `photos` and `pagination.next_page_token` (absent on the last page; a page past the end has neither).

GET
/v1/google/maps/photos

The photos of one Google Maps place, 20 a page, answered as the document: search_metadata, search_parameters, search_information ({}), photos and pagination.next_page_token (absent on the last page; a page past the end has neither). Google gives one listing of about 150 entries (about 130 photos; videos are left out) whatever the place's total, so a place's photos end after about 130 and Google's own continuation token is not accepted back. The order is Google's. Failures: timeout when Google had no photos ready after 12 asks, rate_limited on HTTP 429, blocked for any other answer that is not Maps' data. category_id is not supported (400).

Query Parameters

cancel_token?string

A name you make up for this request (a UUID is fine), so you can later GET /v1/cancel with it. Only you know it, so only you can cancel. Use a new one for every request, retries included: a cancelled token stays cancelled for a few minutes.

Length1 <= length <= 128
place_id?string

Google's place id (ChIJ...); the page that opens it names the data id.

Match^[A-Za-z0-9_-]+$
data_id?string

0x...:0x....

Match^0x[0-9a-fA-F]+:0x[0-9a-fA-F]+$
next_page_token?string

pagination.next_page_token of an answer. A token this API did not make is a 400.

hl?string

Language of the page.

Default"en"
gl?string

Country.

Default"us"

Response Body

The photos, as the document. When the page could not be parsed, the usual envelope.

application/json
  1. response

The first three keys of every parsed 200 (the answer is the document itself, no success/data envelope): what the search was (search_metadata), what it asked (search_parameters), the parser's own search_information ({} when it has none). The engine's blocks follow, at the same level. An engine whose answer is a list puts it under results.

search_metadata*
search_parameters*

The request's own fields as sent, engine first, without cancel_token.

search_information*

The parser's own, e.g. yelp_search's; otherwise {}.
